The Full Story
The acronym EAE stands for Earth Art Engineering, an intersection between geotechnical engineering and large scale art projects. Art is a passion of the firm's founder, Kevin Kissler, after he met his wife at an art gallery. Finding challenge in the abstract nature of art and the mastery of core engineering principals it demands has fostered a culture of excellence in EAE, which is also embodied by Ethics and Excellence.
EAE was founded in 2024 on the simple premises of 'what is designed must also be built'. After years in the field of adjusting to bad blueprints, bad construction practices, or in many cases both, firm Principal Kevin decided to evolve the firm from a personal passion into a full service civil engineering firm centered on the concept of efficient project delivery, from design to final completion.
Kevin's background started in carpentry. From there he achieved a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and began working as a field engineer performing project management for the Federal Highway Administration. Early in his career, Kevin shifted to the private sector where he worked on several projects for the Colorado Department of Transportation (pictured). Kevin saw opportunity to develop better project delivery strategies and tested them as a City Engineer for Cortez, Colorado. Perfecting these strategies, Kevin moved back into private sector to continue the pursuit of his passion for providing engineering excellence.
EAE exists today to serve a variety of clients. Home builders navigating the construction of their dream home can rely on EAE to help them navigate the process and provide engineering expertise and performance. Municipalities looking to improve project delivery on complex projects can equally benefit from Kevin's tried and true methodologies. EAE is proud to be a SAM.gov registered engineering consultant/ DBE and registered Emerging Small Business (ESB) and pre-qualified consultant with the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT).
